I've never been as close to the element of Earth as others. <shrugs> Altho I do love my garden etc... I think it's partly 'coz I have this not quite a love-hate thing going on here but for lack of better... <shrugs> <heh> Anyway... for me Earth has always been the keeper of lore & memories... but it also tends to hold onto things. Such as ideas, people, thoughts, whatever else that I shouldn't dwell on as much etc.

Earth is the thing that grounds me and I feel 'at home' out in the middle of no where or back in some woods. I love it. It calms me and makes me feel like an elf but I think that's because of the imagination my wonderful father bestowed upon me

I used to Ground more w/ Earth... lean against a tree & let all my "stuff" go down into its roots & out... or else meditate & try to see myself as the tree itself... whatever else. But these days I tend to Ground more w/ Water, tho... even if it's something simple like visualising all my strife as gunk that I can scrub off my skin when I take a bath & watch it all swirl down the drain at the end. <shrugs>

That having been said I still feel a bit more peaceful if I'm upset but then go work in my garden for a little while.

I love your description... it sounds so peaceful... your dad sounds like an amazing guy...

Water isn't my thing.
He is an amazing father and grandfather. he taught me to play DnD, taught me about writing, taught me about art, taught me about superheroes, and about howfar good parenting can get you.

Awesome to hear... like this li'l bubble of goodness in a world full of deadbeats, judgemental morons, & whatever else...

Sometimes that makes for awesome character and amazing parenting skills
